Help Nutmeg

This is Nutmeg and boy does she have a story!

At only two years old, our sweet Nutmeg has gone through two major medical procedures putting her poor little body through the wringer. When we first met Nutmeg she needed us ASAP. She was heartworm positive. This meant weeks of intensive medications and injections along with long hours of strict create rest. A tough regiment for any dog, but especially difficult for a young, rambunctious pup like Nutmeg. But with perseverance and lots of patience, she came through it like a champ!

With the help of her amazing foster and specialized trainer, Nutmeg was well on her way to finding her forever home until yesterday. Full stop. Nutmeg now needed emergency surgery for an intestinal blockage or else she would die. Of course, we wouldn’t let that happen; we just couldn't lose her! This sweet dog has so much life to life and so much love to give. So even though we weren't ready for the $5,700 bill, we found a way to get it done. And now Nutmeg is once again on the road to recovery.

This is where we need your help! It is our passion and our mission to save animals like Nutmeg. But it’s so difficult to continue to do it as a small municipal shelter facing bills this large. So please donate to help cover the cost of this emergency life-saving surgery. The next Nutmeg who needs us will be just as appreciative and grateful as we are!

Feel free to share Nutmeg'as story. And stay tuned for updates about her progress!
