Pet Pantry - Establishing pet pantries and overnight programs for dogs of homeless people in shelters
Target Issue: Homelessness has become the 2nd largest problem in the USA, and FDF is not going to solve that problem. However, many homeless people have given a home to a dog, they have showered their dog with love and compassion, sometimes feeding the dog before they even feed themselves.
Our Solution:
FDF will work with existing homeless shelter providers to create a Pet Pantry. This will enable the shelter to provide dog food to support the homeless pet parent care of their dog.
The Pet Pantry food will be available to all who need it ensuring their dogs are fed, and not at the expense of the individual.
