Beau

When Beau came to the city shelter it was assumed he was an old dog because he was so matted, dirty, and weak. He had been hit by a car. His back legs didn't work. He couldn't lift his head. Since it was late in the day and no vets were available that late of night, Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control stepped in with Friends' After Hours Crisis Care Program (AHCCP).

FDF helped contribute funds to pay for Beau's surgeries. Charleen from Friends of Chicago Care and Control says, "Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this tremendous help in covering the cost of his surgeries. He's had three operations and is doing extremely well. (I'm fostering him so I get to see his progress first hand.) After his final check-in with his surgeon on the 17th, he'll be ready to post for adoption!"

UPDATE: Great news, Beau has already been adopted!
